Responsible AI Use Tool, Turnitin Clarity, Earns ISTE Seal for Meeting Highest Educational Technology Standards

Turnitin’s transparent student writing solution, Turnitin Clarity, has earned the prestigious ISTE Seal, which evaluates and recognizes quality educational technology solutions in K-12 that meet usability, digital, pedagogical, and ISTE educational technology standards. With Turnitin Clarity, students gain access to an AI assistant that provides educators with transparency, enabling both to learn how to use AI effectively and productively.

The ISTE Seal is earned through a thorough evaluation by a panel of education and technology experts. This successful validation confirms that Turnitin Clarity meets the standards for quality educational technology across key areas:

Since launching in July 2026, we have trained over 3,000 educators to use Turnitin Clarity in more than 2,000 classes, resulting in over 170,000 submitted papers.
